Saturday, March 29, 2008 four DCHS Band Members participated
in the District V Solo & Ensemble competition held at Prattville
High School. In the solo competition, Whitley, Maggie , Kristen  & Jarvis
each received a Superior rating for their performances.
Also, Whitley, Kristen and Maggie each received two Superior
ratings for their ensemble performances
 

Dallas County High School Senior Will Ingram has been
 selected to participate in the UAB Jazz Summit.  Students
  attending the Jazz Summit will be placed in big bands and
   combos according to their skill and experience, and will
      be mixed in with UAB Jazz students in their various
     ensembles.  The final concert is Feb. 9.  Will has been playing
   Bass Guitar for 4 years and is part of the
   Dallas County High School Marching Band.
